Versace Spring/Summer 2018: In Praise of Femininity

Versace Spring/Summer 2018: In Praise of Femininity

Milan has become a city of celebration. As the curtain to the Versace runway drew open, out came some of the most iconic supermodels of the 1990s, all of whom were muses to former creative director Gianni Versace (who tragically passed away in 1997). Taking his place was his sister Donatella, who has since become a notable figure on her own, as she continued his brother’s legacy of empowering women to embrace their femininity and sexuality.

This spectacle was on full display at their latest runway show, where we saw luscious silk pieces and patterns inspired by the atelier’s archive. From Andy Warhol velvet print dresses, to opulent Renaissance-themed skirts, painting-like gold chain handbags, and bejeweled strappy stilettos – the collection is proudly glamorous yet surprisingly timeless. #FindYourLuxury and see Versace’s latest womenswear collection below.

Shimmering, Sparkling Footwear: Late 2017 Footwear Trends

Say goodbye to the saying “less is more”, as today’s footwear brands value adornment over subtlety. These past few seasons have seen sleek minimalism give way to artful, sparkly maximalism, such as the romantic vision of Gucci, or the space-age excitement of Chanel.

In the field of footwear, there’s been a recurring theme from brands Oscar de la Renta to Giuseppe Zanotti, which is the bolder the shoe, the better. Read on as we highlight the greatest sparkling and shimmering shoes from this season’s runways.
